On card stock or paper, draw 10 cookies. On each cookie, draw a different number of chocolate chips (1-10). Cut them out. Trace the cookies inside a cookie box box and write numbers 1-10 inside. Let your child match up the cookies to the correct number! ⠀

This activity helps with one to one correspondence for kids. Memorizing counting to 5 is different than actually knowing that a cookie has 5 chocolate chips. It shows your child knows that a number has meaning and corresponds with an object.
