All kids need to learn shapes and this is a really easy and fun way to practice creating them! All you need are toothpicks and mini marshmallows.
Austin (5) made squares, rectangles, diamonds and triangles. We talked about how the shapes were similar and different and why we couldn't make shapes like circles.
Bonus Activity:
After making basic shapes, challenge your child to make 3D shapes!
Why?
This is a STEM activity, important in helping prepare our children for the future!
